Armstrong, Hubert Dawson

Hubert volunteered in early 1942, trained as military police and motorcycle dispatch rider. He landed in Europe with the second wave of soldiers on D-Day. He fought trough France, Belgium, Netherlands and into Germany until his unit met the Red Army. He reassigned with the occupying forces until early 1946. He was injured in battle in Holland and hid for 3 days from the German soldiers. He never told his children of his experiences.
