Enlisted 1939 with the RCSD, Saw combat in WWIl ,Landed at Juno Beach on June 6, 1944. Also, in relief forces at Arnhem, Netherlands, the liberation of Ho9lland. He was decorated with 6 medals. He joined RCAF after WWII and was a prisoner of war twice during his service.
