WWII

Born on November 11, 1918, Alexander was a member of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. As a dispatch rider with the Signals Corps, he served in England, France, Belgium and Italy, and was often exposed to front-line danger. Motorcycle riders were frequently targeted because stopping them could disrupt entire operations. He also carried some of the final cease fire orders into Germany to some of the allied troops who were still fighting.
