The Sea going Parks! The 5 Parks brothers were all engaged in the Naval service in one form or another. In 1943, Walton Harding was 20 years old (Signalman), Glenn Arthur was 19 years old (Gunner), and Milledge James was 18 years old (Petty Officer), The two youngest brothers Donald Stuart, 17 years old and Douglas Ross, 16 years old were too young to enlist but were members of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets. Their father Harding Parks had served in WWI in the Merchant Navy making frequent crossings and narrowly missing torpedo fire many times. Seems as if the sea was in the blood of this family who originally hailed from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
